Turtle in Victoria Vale

Ok, this is what I know about this picture... A woman named Dorthy called my mother all excited because there was a turtle on her lawn.She thought that it looked like a dinosaur, it had spikes all along it's leggs and down it's tail... A naughbour looked it up on the internet, only to find out that this dinosaur looking reptile is a snaping Turtle... There is no telling where it may have come from, but something is telling me that it came from the pond just down the road from where this picture was takin.
